8 Rivers Capital, a private equity firm and business incubator, wanted to transform talent recruitment, by matching young professionals to the right job the first time. Enablus helped them refine their idea, and designed an engaging user experience that would attract both employers and talent, and find connections between the two.

The product, Entasso launched in February 2012.

8 Rivers choose Enablus primarily for our experience ideating, designing, and building new products in a rapid fashion. We partnered with their development team to quickly solve some tough challenges related to attracting and engaging users to a new web application.

When Entasso came to us, we didn't really have any established brand guidelines. We needed to explore color palettes, typefaces, photography and logo treatments. We wanted to develop a brand aesthetic that is modern and flexible enough to evolve as their brand continues to expand beyond the digital space.

We met with the Entasso team over the course of a week. The first two days were devoted to brainstorming and ideation. Daniel, Paul and Shaun shared their thoughts around introducing employers and potential hires, and how to engage talent with the system. We took their ideas and organized them into individual user stories that we could ideate upon one at a time, to ensure that each story had a unified experience.

Entasso needs to know a lot about a person to place them with the right job, so they wanted to include gamification, to increase user participation with the app. And yet, there was an inherent challenge gamifying a talent pool. You don't wan't to make a mistake with people's careers, so it was very important that we got it right. We highlighted ways that users' could improve their rankings in talent pools. We also matched potential employees' skills with other talent pools by the same employers, to help them discover new career opportunities.
